Florida Shores makes up a large part of our Edgewater work, and some homes are on systems that were sized for how the house was originally built rather than how it's lived in today.

The Riverside corridor along North and South Riverside Drive homes are older, the lots are shaded by mature oaks, and the Indian River Lagoon is right there at the end of the street. A lot of what we see along Riverside was built decades ago and has been added onto since. A Florida room gets enclosed, a garage becomes a bedroom, a back porch turns into living space, and the air conditioning never quite catches up. The result is usually the same: one part of the house cools fine and the addition never does. Before we quote you a bigger system, we want to know whether the problem is the equipment or the ductwork feeding that room, because a larger unit pushing air through undersized ducts and a starved return won't fix it. Sometimes the right answer is duct repair. Sometimes it's a single ductless mini-split head that conditions the addition properly without touching the rest of the house.

We also see homes still running window units where a ductless mini-split or a first central system makes a real difference in comfort and cost. Whatever the situation, we'll give you a clear picture of what the repair costs and what a replacement would run before you decide.
